Sussex Home and Away Inter League
Series 5 and the half way point was played on Sunday 14th December 25. Worthing A beat Brighton A 5 -2 with wins for Mike Daw, Stuart Mepham, Martin Smith, Ian Lelliott and Stuart Carruthers. Lewes lost 5 - 2 to Worthing B. B winners Paul Moyes-Robb, Rick Cunningham, Dave Ingram, James Whittle and Tony Jenner.
Series 6 on Sunday 11th January 26. Worthing A 4 - 3 Tunbridge Wells, with wins for Mike Daw, Kevin Tunstall, Terry Molloy and Martin Smith.
Littlehampton 2 -5 Worthing B. Wins for James Whittle, Dave Ingram, Roger Taylor, Tony Jenner and Dave Jones.
Series 7 on Sunday 1st February 26.
Redhill A beat Worthing A 4 -3 and with West Sussex winning, Worthing A are now level on points with West Sussex at the top of the table, both on 14 points. There were wins for Mike Daw, Terry Molloy and Joe Oakley. Joe topped scored on the night with 11,670.
Series 8 Worthing A have a bye, while West Sussex host Redhill A.
Worthing B host Mid Sussex, who lead the division.

Sussex Doubles and Singles.
These were played at the Burgess Hill Constitutional Club over the weekend of Saturday 24th and Singles on Sunday 25th January. A weekend of high quality bar billiards with the tables offering different challenges but all playable.
The Open Doubles were won by Martin Smith (Stags Head A) and Stuart Carruthers (Henty A) who beat the Maypole pairing of Martin Cole and Barry Holt in the final. The plate was won by Alan Brackenridge (Stags Head B) and Kevin Stoner (Blue Anchor) beating the Alexandra pairing of Rick Cunningham and Tony Jenner in the final.
The Ladies Singles was run as a round robin competition, with 4 ladies taking part and Jean Brackenridge (Stags Head B) retained her title.
The Mens Singles was won by Nigel Senior (Stags Head B) who beat last years winner Matt Knight (Stags Head B) in the final. Matt had beaten Alan Brackenridge (Stags Head B) in the semi finals and Nigel had defeated Tony Jenner (Alexandra). The Plate was won by Martin Cole (Maypole) who beat Stuart Carruthers (Henty A) in the final.
Sussex One Day Inter League.
B team was played on Saturday 21st February. Worthing B (Tony Jenner, Dave Ingram, Roger Taylor, Alan Mepham, James Whittle, Dave Jones and Pete Hickman) prevailed by half a point with Redhill B 2nd. Worthing beat Brighton C 11 - 10, Brighton B 18 -3 and going into the last series of games were half a point behind Redhill B but won that match 11 - 10 to snatch the win. Dave Ingram (Worthing), Alex Hornby (Redhill), Clive Thompson (Redhill) and Jim Greensted (Redhill) all won 5 out of 6 legs and scored 8 points. Alex also had the top score of the day with 9,060.
The Division 2 competition was played at the same venue on Sunday 22nd. Littlehampton were the winners with Billingshurst Runners Up. Colin Green of Littlehampton won 7 out of 8 legs. Colin and Iain Tarrant (Billingshurst) were the high point scores with 10 each and Colin Southouse (Hastings) top scored with 11,620.
The Ladies was played on Saturday 28th. Redhill were the comfortable winners from Brighton, with Mid Sussex 3rd and West Sussex 4th. Jean Brackenridge high scored with 10,940. Jean, Denise Wills, Tracy Guy and Anita Blackman were the high points scorers all with 8 points.
Division 1 was played on Sunday 1st February. The winners were Brighton A with Worthing A Runners Up. High score was by Martin Cole with 19,070. Bob Hall was top points scores with 11 points. Worthing were represented by Joe Oakley, Stuart Carruthers, Stuart Mepham, Mike Daw, Martin Smith, Kevin Tunstall and Terry Molloy. Stuart Carruthers was their best player on the day winning 6 out of 8 legs and averaging 10,361.
Sussex Over 50s and Mixed Doubles.
Over 50s was played on Saturday 21st February. The winner was Matt Knight who beat Tony Jenner in the final. Jim Greensted won the Plate beating Steve Burns in the final.
Mixed Doubles were played on Saturday 28th February. This was played in 2 groups of 4 as a round robin format, the top of each group playing in the final and the 2nd to play in the Plate Final. The groups were close and not decided until the last games. The final was won by Jean Brackenridge and Matt Knight who beat Steph Pearce and Dan Wheal in the final. The Plate was won by Melissa Beaqch and Martin Cole beating Zoe Stoner and Joe Oakley in the final.

Sussex Off The Spot
This will be held at Roffey Club, Horsham on Saturday 27th June 2026.
Sussex Masters and Open.
These will be held at Roffey Club, Horsham. The Masters will be on Saturday 6th June 2026 and the Open on Sunday 7th June 2026.

General Sussex News
The next Sussex events are the Sussex Masters and the Sussex Open over the weekend of 6th/7th June at Roffey Club.
There are 3 more series on the home and away inter league to go and both Worthing A and B are in contention for the titles. In Division1 Worthing A are joint top with West Sussex on 14 points , Redhill A are 3rd on 11 points but have a game in hand. In Division 2 Worthing B are 1 point behind the leaders Mid Sussex but have a game in hand, Worthing Bs next match is home to Mid Sussex, Littlehampton sit in 3rd but are 3 points behind Worthing B and have played one more game.
