From 1st January 2025 to end of December 2025

Worthing Masters and Off The Spot.
Will be held at Goring Conservartive Club over the weekend of 8th/9th November 25.
Jersey Singles and Doubles.
Will be held at the Merton Hotel, St Helier over the weekend 14th to 16th November 25.
AEBBA Grand Prix Men`s and Ladies.
Will be held at Totteridge Community Centre on Sunday 30th November 25.

WBBA Team Challenge.
This will be heeld at the Hampshire Court Hotel and Spa over the weekend of 27th/28th September 25 and Worthing players will be involved.
AEBBA Team Champions, Mixed Pairs and Special Ladies.
These will be held at Totteridge Community Centre on Sunday 12th October 25.
AEBBA Singles, Over 50s and 60s.
Will be held at Totteridge on Sunday 26th October 25.

County Championships Division 1,
These will be held at Totteridge Community Centre on Sunday 14th September 25. Sussex should be represented by an A and a B team and players from Worthing should be involved.
4 Pin Inter Counties Challenge.
Will be held on Saturday 20th September 25 at The Inn On The Green, Ockley, Worthing players should be involved.
AEBBA Off The Spot.
Will be held at the Staff Club, Didcot on Saturday 27th September 25.

The Oxford Open.
This will be held on Saturday 19th July 25 at the Staff Club, Didcot.
The Bucks Open
This will be held at Totteridge Community Centre on Sunday 10th August 25.

Sussex Off The Spot.
Held at Roffey Club, Horsham on Saturday 26th June 26. The final was won by Matt Knight (Stags Head B) beating Martin Cole (May Pole). The Plate was won by Alan Brackenridge (Stags Head B) who beat Martin Smith (Stags Head A) in the final.
On the Sunday 27th the BIOC Ladies was won by Oxfords Pauline Withey beating Anita Blackman, Redhill in the final. Alongside this the AEBBA Alternate Rules was played. This was very well supported and was won by Oxfords Mark Trafford, beating Bucks Matt Jones in the final. Bob Hall (Stags Head A) and Tony Jenner (Alexandra) lost in the semi finals.

Brighton Masters and Off The Spot.
Played at the Stags Head, Portslade over the weekend 21st/22nd June 25.
The 2 Masters competitions were held on the Saturday. The A Masters was won by Chris Tupper (Stags Head B) who beat Kev Hall (Stags Head A) in the final. The B Masters was won by Moppy Scott who beat Kevin Stoner (Blue Anchor) in the final.
On the Sunday Bob Hall (Stags Head A) won the Off The Spot beating Chris Cox (May Pole) in the final. The Plate was won by Ian Lelliott (Stags Head A) who beat Lorraine Hall in the final.
Worthing Players County and National Achievements
From 1st January 2025 to end of December 2025

Sussex Masters and Open.
These were held at Roffey Club, Horsham over the weekend of 7th/8th June 25.
On the Saturday the Sussex Masters was contested by 24 players and was won by Nigel Senior (Stags Head B) who beat Chris Cox (May Pole) in the final. The Plate was won by Stuart Mepham (Henty A) who beat Phil Osborne (Stags Head B) in the final.
On the Sunday a well supported Sussex Open was held at the same venue. The winner doing the double for the weekend was Nigel Senior (Stags Head B) who beat Matt Jones of Bucks in the final. The plate runner up was Stuart Mepham (Henty A) who lost out to Redhill`s John Slee in the final.
On the Saturday evening a full international was held between England and Guernsey, which England ran out convincing winners. Worthing were represented by Bob Hall, Gerry Fitzjohn, Matt Knight, Nigel Senior, Phil Osborne and Michael WIilson.

Surrey Open
Held at Salfords Club on Sunday 11th April 25. Kevin Tunstall (Henty A) lost to Matt Jones of Bucks in the final. Nigel Senior (Stags Head B) and Martin Smith (Stags Head A) lost in the semi finals.
In the Plate Stuart Carruthers (Henty A) lost in the final to Bucks Matt Jones. Stuart Mepham (Henty A) lost in the semi final.
Guernsey Doubles and Singles Open.
This was played at a new venue Kings Premium Health Club, St Peter Port over the weekend 3rd/4th May 25. A very good venue and a tremendous weekend of high quality bar billiards.
The Pairs were won by Phil Osborne (Stags Head B) and Bob Hall (Stags Head A). They beat local pair Trevor Guillaine and Kerry Totti in the final.
In the Singles after a close loss in the Jersey Final and winning his 1st Open at West Sussex, Michael Wilson (Alexandra) beat Kent`s Curt Driver in the final.
In the Plate final Kevin Tunstall (Henty A) beat Nigel Senior (Stags Head B) in the final.
The Ladies Open was won by Mid Sussex`s Lorraine Hall who beat Jenny Noel in the final.
On the Saturday night an England Captains select 11 took on and beat a team from Guernsey. Worthing were represented by Stuart Mepham, Kev Hall, Martin Smith, Stuart Carruthers. Chris Tupper and Tony Jenner.

AEBBA Pairs Competition.
This was held at the Suncliffe Hotel Bournemouth over the weekend of 8th/9th March 25. Always a highlight of the season and a good social weekend. With the formats there are plenty of games for all and well worth entering.
In the main competition the best for Worthing was Stuart Mepham (Henty A) making the semi-finals with his partner Alan Donovan. In the Plate there was no success for Worthing players.
Kent Classic Open.
This was played at the Six in One Club, Tonbridge on Sunday 16th March 25. As usual a closely contested event.
The winner was Nigel Senior (Stags Head B) who beat Martin Cole ((May Pole) in the final. Chris Cox (May Pole) lost in the semi final.
Stuart Carruthers (Henty A) was runner up in the Plate losing to Bucks Matt Jones. Michael Wilson (Alexandra) and Jean Brackenridge (Stags Head B} lost in the Semi finals.
The 4 Pin Open.
Was played at the Masonic Hall, Sudbury on Saturday 29th March 25. Although some Worthing players attended this event they did not fare well. The winner was Jason Neal from Northampton who beat Sudbury`s own Steve Hale in the final.

The B team one day inter league
Played at Burgess Hill Constitutional Club on Saturday 22nd February and Worthing B were represented by Tony Jenner, Rick Cunningham, Dave Ingram, Roger Taylor, Pete Hickman, James Whittle and Dave Jones. On the day the Bs played well but ended as runners-up to Redhill B.
Ladies one day inter league
Played at the above on Saturday 1st March 25. Worthing were represented by Chris Richards, Jaki Cornford, Sam Douglas, Jo Miller and Krystal Beck. The Ladies did well but had not expected too much against strong opposition, and this proved correct with our Ladies coming last.
Division 1 one day inter league.
This was palyed at the same venue on Sunday 2nd March 25 and Worthing A represented by Kevin Tunstall, Martin Smith, Stuart Carruthers, Stuart Mepham, Terry Molloy and Lorin Clough. The A team were like the Bs runners up this time to a strong Brighton A side.

WBBA Stop The Clock
This was held at the Aviator Hotel at Sywell, Northampton over the weekend of 1st/2nd February 25. There were 4 events, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. The Silver event was won by Tony Jenner (Alexandra) and the Silver Plate was won by Rick Cunningham (Alexandra).
West Sussex Open
This was held on Sunday 9th February 25 at the Aldingbourne Club (a new venue for the event).
This saw 1st Open win for Michael Wilson (Alexandra) who had played well all day having beaten John Slee, Nigel Senior, Joe Oakley, Martin Cole and Matt Jones in the final. In the Plate Gerry Fitzjohn (Henty A) lost in the final.
Sussex Mixed Pairs and Over 50s.
These were played at Burgess Hill Constitutional Club on Saturday 22nd February and 1st March 25.
The Mixed Pairs were won by Nigel Senior (Stags Head B) and Michelle Baden who beat Matt Knight and Jean Brackenridge (Stags Head B) in the final. The Plate was won by Martin Cole and Melissa Beach (May Pole) beating Chris Cox and Krystal Beck (May Pole) in the final.
The Over 50s was won by Stuart Mepham (Henty A) who beat Roger Taylor (Henty B) in the final.

Sussex Doubles and Singles
Held at Burgess Hill Constitutional Club over the weekend 18th and 19th January 25. The doubles on the Saturday was won by Mark James and Jim Millward of the Stags Head A. They beat Martin Cole and Barry Knight of the Prince of Wales in the final. The Plate was won by Phil Osborne (Stags Head B) and Bob Hall (Stags Head A).
On the Sunday the singles was won for the 1st time by Matt Knight (Stags Head B) who beat Kevin Tunstall (Henty A) in the final. The Plate was won by Nigel Senior (Stags Head B) who beat Martin Cole (Prince of Wales) in the final.
The Ladies Final was won by Jean Brackenridge (Stags Head B).
